About-Hybrid Partnership Program
While we are a traditional publisher, we have developed a hybrid model to meet the needs of new or emerging authors who benefit from professional guidance and want meaningful control without the high costs of full self-publishing and some of the limitations of traditional contracts. Traditional, hybrid, and independent publishing all offer benefits, but each presents challenges that many authors struggle to navigate. Our model was designed to bridge those gaps.
In our Hybrid Partnership Program, a manuscript, even if incomplete, still goes through the vetting process and, if accepted, is eventually published traditionally. The author does not pay for editing, design, printing, or distribution. Instead, the author agrees to invest through an affordable writing and publishing consulting fee, which provides the expert guidance they need throughout the writing and publishing process. This structure gives authors more flexibility and extra support as they learn and grow as authors while allowing us to share the investment and remain genuinely partnered in the book’s completion and success.
🔸Writing Consultant
A writing consultant works before editing begins and serves as a coach, strategist, and creative partner. They help shape the concept and structure, offer developmental feedback, support the author’s voice, and writing process. The writing consultant does not replace an editor or publisher.
🔸Editors
Editors work on the manuscript itself. They focus on craft, clarity, structure, and polish, and improve what is already written. Editors do not shape writing development or publishing strategy
🔸Publishing Consultant
A publishing consultant guides the author from completed manuscript to published book. They explain publishing paths and help choose the right one, manage timelines, steps, strategy, and professional decisions, advocate for the author’s best interests and needs. The publishing consultant is not a publisher and does not acquire rights or produce the book.
🔸Traditional Publishers
Traditional publishers acquire rights, invest financially in producing the book, make the major creative and production decisions, and control distribution and long-term rights
Traditional publishers are investors and gatekeepers, not hired partners.
In simple terms, writing consultants help you create and shape the manuscript, publishing consultants guide your path from finished draft to published book, editors refine the manuscript once it’s written, traditional publishers fund, produce, and control the book.
Our Hybrid Partnership Program model uniquely blends these elements by funding production, while giving authors extensive strategic support and added creative involvement.
